What is AIBE ?

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a standardized examination conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The primary objective of the AIBE is to assess the capability and skills of law graduates before they are granted the permission to practice law in India. The examination is not an entry-level test for law studies; rather, it is designed for individuals who have already completed their law degrees. The AIBE aims to ensure that law graduates possess the necessary professional skills and understanding of ethical practices required for legal practice. The examination typically covers various subjects such as Constitutional Law, Evidence, Professional Ethics, and the Code of Civil Procedure, among others. Successful completion of the AIBE is a prerequisite for obtaining the "Certificate of Practice" from the Bar Council of India, allowing law graduates to practice law in the country.
