GATE 2023: IIT Kanpur is scheduled to release GATE 2023 Application Form on August 30, 2022. As per GATE Eligibility Criteria, a candidate who is currently in the third year of their graduation or has completed their graduation is eligible to apply for the exam. The last date to register for GATE 2023 without any late fee is September 30, 2022. Candidates can apply online at gate.iitk.ac.in through GATE Login (GOAPS). There has been an increase in GATE 2023 Application Fee. Female/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates are now required to pay Rs. 850 while all other candidates are required to pay Rs. 1700 as GATE Application Fee.
GATE 2023 Exam Dates are February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2023. The conducting body for GATE 2023 is IIT Kanpur. The exam is scheduled to be conducted at exam centers in India and outside India. IIT Kanpur has released GATE 2023 Notification on July 27, 2022 along with the exam dates, registration dates, updated syllabus and exam pattern.
What is GATE exam? GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a national-level entrance test conducted by IISc Banglore and seven IITs (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of NCB-GATE for admission to postgraduate engineering (ME/ M.Tech) or research courses at top colleges in India such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc. and for PSU recruitment (at BHEL, GAIL, HAL, IOCL, NTPC, ONGC, PGCI, etc.).

In GATE 2021, candidates for Geology and Geophysics (GG) paper had the highest qualifying percentage with 31.84% candidates qualifying Geophysics and 24.74% for Geology. Ques. When will GATE 2022 be conducted?
Ans. IIT Kharagpur has released GATE 2022 Exam Dates and examination schedule. GATE 2022 is scheduled from February 5-6 and 12-13, 2022. Ques. Who is eligible to apply for GATE 2022?
Ans. According to GATE 2022 eligibility criteria, apart from graduates, candidates currently in their 3rd year of graduation are also eligible to apply. Candidates must have cleared the required degree for a recognized institute to be eligible for the exam. Ques. I am planning to give GATE 2022 exam, for how many papers can I apply for?
Ans. Candidates appearing for GATE 2022 can apply for a maximum of two (2) papers out of the 29 papers presented on the GATE 2022 Information Brochure or GATE website. Candidates are supposed to appear in a paper appropriate to the discipline of his/her qualifying degree. Ques. What is the maximum age limit for applying for GATE 2022?
Ans. There is no age limit for applying for GATE 2022. If you meet all the eligibility criteria(s), you will be permitted to give the exam.

Ans. The release of GATE 2022 Application Forms had been postponed. The registration window was open for candidates from September 2 till September 30, 2021 without any additional fee and till October 7 with a late fee.

Ques. What is considered to be a good rank in GATE exam?
Ans. For admission to top IITs, GATE rank below 200 can be considered as a good GATE rank. However, candidates with rank ranging from 600-800 can also get admission to IITs and IIITs. For admission to NITs, GATE rank ranging from 350-800 can be considered good.
