The third admission list for IIT JAM 2023 has been made public on the website Till June 29, 2023, candidates can reserve their places by paying the money. On July 7, the fourth admittance list will be made public.

On June 5, 2023, IIT JAM CCMN Counselling registration opened at IIT JAM 2023 graduates can submit their applications for counseling until June 22. On June 29, the round 1 seat allocation results will be made public.

IIT JAM 2023 Third Admission List Released; Seat Reservation Fee Due by June 29

Admissions are provided to 2800+ slots across 90 PG programs at 21 IITs for the course of study 2023–2024 through IIT Guwahati's IIT JAM 2023 JOAPS counseling.

  • The JAM 2023 subject-specific qualifying scores are revealed in the result login. The minimum qualifying scores for MA in JAM 2023 are 12.28 for ST/SC/PWD categories, 22.10 for EWS/OBC-NCL, and 24.56 for GN categories.

Candidates can use the IIT JAM 2023 College Predictor to guess their schools based on their IIT JAM 2023 results.

IIT JAM Result

IIT JAM 2023 Results were made public on March 21, 2023. Candidates will not get a scorecard in the offline mode. The scorecard includes the AIR and the grades earned in the specific topic. According to the test results, an All India Rank (AIR) would be issued.

A distinct merit list will be created for students who fall under the GEN, OBC, SC, ST, or PWD categories based on how well they performed on each exam paper at IIT JAM 2023. The total amount of seats available in each topic and each candidate's AIR are used to determine the merit list.

IIT JAM Cut off

IIT JAM Cut Off 2023 is announced separately for each degree and category based on the options selected by the applicants. For JAM Result 2023, only applicants with JOAPS login access can view the IIT JAM Cut-Off. The cut-off is updated here in accordance with the test-takers results information.

IIT JAM Counselling

The actions listed below must be taken in order to get admitted to IITs and pass the demanding selection procedure.

  • Fill Out an Application Form for IIT JAM Counselling - According to the organizing committee, students who pass more than one exam paper must only complete one admission form. A processing fee of INR 750 must be paid after submitting the properly completed admission form for counseling.  
  • Admission List Announcement - After the deadline for submitting admission forms has passed, an admission list is released by the organizing institution, IIT Roorkee. Candidates receive the admission offer letter from their respective colleges.

IIT JAM CCMN Counselling

IIT JAM counseling is offered through the CCMN common admission portal for admission to IIEST Shibpur, NITs, and GFTIs. On June 5, CCMN 2023 counseling officially began. After each round of counseling, the outcomes of the seat allocation will be made public. By checking on the official website,, using their JAM registration number & password, applicants may view the seat allocation results.

IIT JAM Eligibility Requirements

Those who want to take the IIT JAM must meet the requirements listed below:

  • Nationality: Both foreigners and citizens of Indian states are eligible.
  • Age Restrictions: There are none. 
  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in science is required, and it can be in any of the following fields: geology, mathematics, biotechnology, mathematical statistics, physics, or chemistry. Candidates in their senior year are also welcome to apply.
  • Minimum Marks: No minimum score is needed to apply for the IIT JAM 2023.
  • By September 30, 2023, you must provide documentation proving that you met the Minimum Educational Requirements (MEQs) for the Admitting Institute's Qualifying Degree.

IIT JAM Exam Pattern

The following is the IIT JAM exam schedule:

  • Test papers- Mathematical Statistics, Geology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Physics.
  • Mode of exam- Online;
  • Duration of Exam- 3 hours;
  • No. of questions- 60- 30 in section A, 10 in section B, and 20 in section C
  • Medium of IIT JAM Paper- English;
  • Total Marks-The question paper will be for 100 marks.
  • Negative Marking: IIT JAM will have negative markings for section A.
    • For Section A- For each mistake, a third of the marks will be lost. a one-mark response and two-thirds of a mark for a two-mark query;
    • For Section B- no negative and no partial marking;
    • For Section C- no negative marking

IIT JAM Admit Card

Candidates must input all necessary information, including their assigned Enrollment ID/Email ID, security code, password, and other credentials, in order to get their IIT JAM Admit Card. IIT JAM Exam Center Rules

  • It is required that you bring your IIT JAM admit card and a valid ID to the exam location.
  • Candidates who arrive at the exam center beyond the scheduled time will not be admitted.
  • There's no need to bring any notepads or blank pages to the exam. For rough work, candidates will get a doodle pad.
  • Mobile phones, microphones, Bluetooth, and other communication devices are not permitted.
  • Wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, hats, and other accessories are also prohibited.
  • Water bottles, food that has been opened or packaged, and other objects are not permitted within the exam room.

IIT JAM Application Form

On the official website, JAM Online Application Process System must be used to submit IIT JAM application forms.

  • The application form must contain personal information, the IIT JAM test paper preference, exam city preferences, details of the valid identification document, the eligibility degree, and other information.
  • Additionally, scanned copies of documents such as category certificates, pictures, signatures, and others must be supplied when completing the IIT JAM application.
  • Pay the IIT JAM application fee after providing all the required information in the application form. Only online payments made with a credit/debit card or net banking will be accepted for fees.

IIT JAM Overview FAQs

Ques. Will the opening and closing ranks for the 2023 IIT JAM Cut-Off be released to the public?

IIT JAM, please With the results announcement came the announcement of the cutoff scores. Candidates can fill out the admission applications if they get these minimum cutoff scores. Prior to releasing the admission lists, the IIT JAM initial and final ranks are made public. Admissions are provided in accordance with these rankings.

Ques. When will the results of IIT JAM 2023 be released? Will an email be used to send the scorecard?

The IIT JAM 2022 Results have been published on the official website,, as of March 21, 2023. THE IIT JAM scorecard will also only be accessible via the official website starting on April 1. It is not sent to any candidate through email.

Ques. Can I register for more than one IIT JAM exam paper?

Yes, candidates may choose up to two exam papers to take at the time of filling out the application. It should be noted that the time windows for the two papers do not conflict.  However, candidates need to choose one topic while filling out the admissions or counseling form.

Ques. Do I Need Math in My 12th Grade Class to Take the IIT JAM?

In five out of the six exam papers, mathematics is listed as a mandatory subject. However, before applying, applicants should confirm that they meet the necessary paper qualifying requirements.
