The two main processes used for JEE Main Counselling are JoSAA and CSAB. Admission is available to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 29 other GFTIs through the first round of JoSAA counselling. Following the conclusion of JoSAA Counselling, CSAB holds various rounds of counselling for admission to the open seats following JoSAA and the other designated seats under CSAB NEUT, SFTI, etc.

On April 29, 2023, the second session (April) JEE Main 2023 result was released. At jeemain.nta.nic.in, the official JEE Main scorecard for 2023 may be seen and downloaded by candidates. Both the overall India rank and the overall India category rank are included. However, candidates will only be admitted to NITs, CFITs, and SFIs based on their All India Rank (AIR).
The results of JEE Main Paper 2 for applicants majoring in architecture or planning will be released separately. The JEE Main Result includes the applicant's scores, percentile, and rank. Top 2,50,000 JEE Main test takers would be permitted to sit the JEE Advanced exam in 2023.For those who have attempted multiple times, the rank list is compiled using the highest scores. The reservation policy for JEE Main 2023 is based on directives issued by the Indian government. Candidates from the sections with lower economic standing are entitled to a 10% reservation. A second category-based merit list is published by NTA, and universities that accept JEE Main scores also reserve 10% more seats for EWS applicants.
