JEE Main 2022 Paper 1 is conducted for B.E./B.Tech admissions at NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main Paper 1 Syllabus is based on topics from Class XI and XII Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Main B.E./B.Tech Question Paper consists of 90 questions of which candidates have to answer 77 questions carrying 300 marks. +4 marks are awarded for each correct answer while each incorrect answer leads to a negative marking of -1. Candidates preparing for JEE Main 2022 B.E./B.Tech paper can check the syllabus, exam pattern, question papers using the links tabulated below-
JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning programs at NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The exam is held separately as JEE Main Paper 2A for B.Arch and JEE Main Paper 2B for B.Planning. JEE B.Arch paper consists of three sections- mathematics, aptitude and drawing and JEE B.Planning paper also consists of three sections- mathematics, aptitude and planning.
JEE Main B.Arch paper is conducted online (for mathematics and aptitude) and offline (for the drawing section). JEE Main B.Arch Question Paper consists of 82 questions of which candidates have to answer 77 questions worth 400 marks. Meanwhile, JEE Main B.Planning paper is conducted as a computer-based test. JEE B.Planning question paper consists of 105 questions of which candidates have to answer 100 questions carrying 400 marks. Candidates can meanwhile check JEE Main 2022 Paper 2 syllabus, exam pattern.
No new changes have been made to JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern this year however the marking scheme has been revised. JEE Main is conducted for three papers– Paper 1 (B.E/ B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning). JEE Main Exam Pattern had undergone some major changes last year. For the first time, internal choices had been introduced for questions considering the reduction in the syllabus by CBSE and other state boards. Although the total questions in each of the 3 papers have increased, the total marks for the papers remain the same as the previous years.
This year there is a negative marking in both MCQs and numerical value answers.
