MAT Eligibility 

The basic requirements for candidates to be eligible for the MAT are outlined in the eligibility criteria. Before submitting their applications, individuals who are interested in taking the MAT exam must meet the minimum requirements established by the organization in charge of administering the test. 

  • Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university in any field.  
  • Candidates may also be final-year students.  
  • To take the MAT exam, there is no minimum job experience requirement.  
  • The MAT test has no upper age restriction.  

MAT Registration Procedure

The entire MAT registration procedure is done online. Follow each step in full before submitting an application for the MAT exam. 

  • Candidates must register before beginning the MAT application process by entering their email address and mobile number. 
  • Following that, applicants must mention the OTP they received to confirm their email address and mobile number. 
  • Candidates must then log in with their login information in order to complete the MAT application form. 
  • The candidate's passport-size photo and signature must be uploaded in scanned form. Verify that you only upload the necessary information in the format specified. 
  • The following is a list of the document dimensions needed for uploading:

MAT Syllabus 

The following is a description of the comprehensive MAT syllabus that applicants should consult while they study for the test: 

  • MAT Data Analysis and Sufficiency: Data Tables, Bar Diagrams, Data Charts, Pie Charts, Graphs - Line X-Y Graphs, Data Analysis & Data Comparison among Others, Caselet Based Data, Venn Diagram, and Data Sufficiency. 

  • MAT Indian & Global Environment: Business and economics general knowledge (GK) is provided in books, for instance, changes in fiscal and monetary policy, CRR, and repo rates. Based on the most recent study of newspapers and publications, national and international events, current knowledge of Business, the devaluation and appreciation of the rupee, etc. 

  • MAT Mathematical Skills: Arithmetic, speed, interest (simple and compound), time & distance; time & work; averages; number systems; mixtures and allegations; unitary method; commercial math; permutations and combinations; ratios and proportions; and other topics; number systems (3–4) problems; elementary mathematics, etc. 

  • MAT Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: Among other things, fact inference judgment, passage conclusion, analogy, and statement argument Timepieces, calendars, binary reasoning seating arrangement, the family tree of blood relations, Assumption, Premise, Conclusion, Logical Sequence matrix and linear arrangements, Venn diagrams, rows, team formation, cubes, set theory, decision-making, and communication Network diagrams, series, syllogisms, and Puzzles, Quantitative Reasoning Critical reasoning and logical inference based on rankings 

  • MAT Language Comprehension: Grammar, paraphrase jumbles, odd one out, sentence completion, verbal aptitude, and reading comprehension passages are some examples. 

MAT Exam Pattern

  • The MAT test will be offered in three different formats: IBT, CBT, and PBT. 
  • The question paper will be split into five separate sections in accordance with the MAT Exam Pattern: Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, and Indian and Global Environment. 
  • There will be 40 multiple-choice questions in each part, making a total of 200 questions. 
  • The examination will take 150 minutes to complete. 
  • Candidates will receive one mark for each choice that is accurate while losing 0.25 points for each one that is wrong.

MAT Admit Card 

A few days prior to the scheduled exam date, candidates for the MAT are given their admission cards. The AIMA only makes the admission card available on the official website. Candidates must bring their MAT admit card with them when they take the test because it is a crucial document. Without presenting the printed MAT admit card, candidates will not be allowed to take the test.

  • Use the registration ID and password to log in. 
  • Download the MAT Admit Card at this time.

MAT Exam Centers for PBT/ CBT Mode 

In India, there are more than 50 cities with MAT exam centers. Candidates must appear at the assigned testing site in order to participate in the MAT PBT and CBT modalities. The scheduled MAT exam venue will be shown on the admittance card. Candidates must carefully read all the material on their MAT admit card.

Candidates can choose from 39 test cities while registering for the MAT PBT mode. Candidates can choose from 27 exam cities for the MAT CBT format.

MAT Counseling Procedure

The participating institutes will handle the MAT counseling procedure as AIMA does not offer counseling services. The MAT counseling procedure will start as soon as the MAT results are released. Both a personal interview and a group discussion will be part of the selection process.
