NEET PG Qualifications

You must meet the NEET PG eligibility requirements listed below, as established by NBE, in order to submit NEET PG application forms.

  • Indian nationals are eligible to apply for NEET PG 2025. Foreign medical graduates who have completed the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) and are Indian citizens or OCIs are also eligible to apply.
  • International Residents: On payment of a small charge, a temporary registration from the National Medical Commission (NMC) is required.
  • Academic Requirements: An MBBS degree or pass certificate recognized by the National Medical Commission Act 2019 (NMC)/IMC Act 1956 is a must. 
  • An applicant must have successfully completed an internship prior to August 11, 2025, in addition to having an MBBS degree.
  • MBBS Registration Certificate: A permanent license is required is a provisional registration certificate for an MBBS degree issued by the State Medical Council or the MCI (now NMC).
  • Age Restrictions: There is no maximum age to sit for the NEET PG 2025 exam.

NEET PG Exam Pattern 

According to the NEET PG Exam Pattern 2025, there will be 200 questions on the test. A smart preparation strategy for the exam should include reviewing the most recent exam pattern. 

  • The only language used on the NEET PG exam question paper is English.
  • NEET PG exams are given in online CBT format at more than 800 testing locations spread out throughout India's main cities.
  • 200 multiple-choice questions total. There are no non-MCQs in the NEET PG test.
  • 3 parts total: Part A is pre-clinical, Part B is para-clinical, and Part C is clinical.
  • NEET PG Marking Scheme: Each correct response receives 4 points, and erroneous responses receive a 25% deduction in marks. No points are docked for questions that are not attempted.
  • NEET PG Overall Grades: There will be 800 total points awarded for the paper.
  • Duration of the NEET PG Exam: 3.30 hours (210 minutes). There is no dividing of time into sections.

Centers for NEET PG Exams

There will be 271 cities in India where NEET PG exam centers will be situated. The candidate's preferred NEET PG exam center will be assigned based on the information they provided in their application. On a first-come, first-served basis, NBE will distribute the test sites.
