Rajasthan Technical University administers the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) for aspiring candidates seeking admission into B.E/B.Tech and B.Arch programs. REAP oversees the admission procedures on behalf of government-aided and private unaided technical institutions in Rajasthan.The application and registration fee for REAP 2023 is expected to be INR 295, payable through both online and offline modes.

Eligibility for REAP 2023 encompasses various criteria, including academic qualifications, age restrictions, and domicile requirements. To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum academic qualification for admission to B. Tech/B.E programs in Rajasthan. This entails clearing class XII with at least 45% marks (or 40% for specific categories) in Physics and Mathematics, with an additional subject from Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, or Biology. Birthdate restrictions apply, with exceptions for certain categories.

Furthermore, candidates must provide a Medical Fitness Certificate, complying with specific health standards, upon reporting to their allotted college. Vision, speech, and hearing standards must also be met. It is worth noting that only candidates with Rajasthan domicile are eligible for REAP 2023.

The process involved in a successful application for REAP 2023 is as follows:

Step 1: Deposition of Application Form Fees

REAP 2023 Application Form costs INR 700. Candidates have the option to visit any authorized e-Mitra/CSC kiosk center in the Government of Rajasthan to deposit a total of INR 705. This amount covers INR 700 for the Application Form Fees and INR 5 for e-Mitra service charges. Candidates must note that this amount is neither transferable nor refundable or adjustable in the future. Candidates should make sure to take note of and retain the 16-digit token number and the receipt generated by the e-Mitra portal kiosk for any future reference and documentation.

Step 2:

  • Documents required for filling the Online Application form
  • Candidates will need the following documents while filling out the REAP 2023 Application Form:
  • Recent passport size photograph in jpg format (Maximum image size of 100 KB)
  • Signature in jpg format (Maximum image size of 50 KB)
  • Mark sheets of class X, XI, and XII examination.
  • Mark sheet of JEE (Mains) 2023 scorecard (if applicable)
  • Documents related to the domicile of Rajasthan and reservation category
  • Receipt issued by e-Mitra/ CSC kiosk containing the Token Number.
  • Certificate from the competent authority for applicants belonging to KM category as a proof of being son/ daughter of displaced person from Jammu and Kashmir

Step 3: Filling of Online Application form

Candidates need to fill out his/ her details such as the following in the application form:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Address of Communication
  • Educational details

REAP Counseling Process

The REAP Counseling process will be administered by the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan. Counseling sessions will be conducted based on two criteria: either the candidate's ranking in JEE Main 2023 (if applicable) or their marks in class XII. The counseling will be divided into three rounds, and candidates are required to lock in their preferences for branch and college prior to participating in the counseling process. During online choice filling, candidates are expected to pay a fee of INR 10,000, which is fully adjustable in the event of admission to the assigned institute.

The REAP Counseling 2023 process consists of the following steps:

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Begin by registering online and providing the necessary educational and personal details for counseling.
  • Upload your photograph and signature in the specified format and size.
  • Make an online payment of INR 700 using Debit Card, Credit Card, net banking, or at E-Mitra centers.

Step 2: Online Choice Filling and Locking

  • Log in using the credentials you provided during registration.
  • Select seats from the list of available institutions and B.Tech/B.E courses and fill out your choices.
  • You can choose as many institutes/seats as you like and fill them immediately before encountering a "Choice exhausted condition."
  • Save your choices each time you log in and make any necessary edits.
  • Once you are certain, lock in your choices, or the system will automatically lock your choices to the last saved ones on the final day.

Step 3: Seat Allotment Procedure

REAP Seat Allotment 2023 will be based on candidates' merit ranks and the choices they have made. Candidates will need to download their provisional seat allotment letters, which will include their personal details and information about the institution and program to which they have been provisionally admitted, along with details about the initial fee payment.

REAP Seat allotment will be done in several rounds as mentioned in the table below:

Round of Seat Allotment Procedure
Round One Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of the merit list for REAP 2023. Non-JEE candidates will be able to participate however the first priority will be given to JEE Main qualified candidates.
Round Two If a candidate has been allotted a seat of higher preference, then that particular seat will fall vacant and it will be allocated to subsequent candidates. A fresh choice filling will not be allowed and only the originally selected ones will hold true. Registered candidates will not have the option to change or resubmit their choices.
Round Three

 In this round, candidates who possess a JEE Main score but were not assigned seats due to their preferences being exhausted will have the opportunity to participate. For candidates who are registered but do not possess a JEE Main score, they can modify their choices. Additionally, new candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register by paying a fee of INR 1200, similar to the application form fee, and select choices based on availability.

It's important to emphasize that candidates who were previously assigned seats but did not report to their allotted institutes during the first and second rounds will not be eligible to participate in the third round of counseling. They will need to register as new candidates if they wish to be considered for seat allocation.

Round Four Candidates will be allotted seats due to upward movement in this round. They will be awarded seats according to the choice of the program that they had filled and the seat has been left vacant due to the absence of the candidate it was originally allotted to.

Step 4: Physical Reporting and Admission at the Designated Institute

Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to be physically present at the designated institute at the specified time. They should bring the following documents in their original form for verification, along with two sets of self-attested photocopies of these documents and a signed copy of the admission form. Additionally, candidates must ensure they have the total fee required for deposit at the allotted institute.

During the REAP 2023 counseling process, candidates must carry the following documents:

  • A printed copy of the provisional seat allotment letter.
  • The registration form, complete with a color photograph of the candidate affixed.
  • An additional color photograph.
  • A valid JEE Main 2023 scorecard.
  • The Class X board certificate for verifying the date of birth.
  • The Class XII mark sheet.
  • A domicile certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • Certificates for those claiming reservation, such as SC, ST, OBC, and SBC categories.
  • Persons with disabilities (PwD) should provide a certificate issued by a competent authority.
  • The consolidated mark sheet/grade of the qualifying examination.
  • An undertaking, if required, to be submitted by OBC/SBC candidates in a specific format.
  • For children of ex-servicemen, a relevant service certificate, if applicable.

REAP Participating Institutes

REAP will provide admission to eligible candidates to around 128 engineering institutes in the state. The applicants who are eligible will be allotted seats into these institutes based on their merit :

REAP Reservation of Seats

According to the state of Rajasthan's statutory rules, REAP will reserve seats for candidates from various categories. The applicant must fulfil the requirements listed in accordance with the chosen category in order to be admitted through the reservation. Only candidates who fulfil the requirements for reservations will be given seats according to their categories.

KM Category: Kashmiri migrants will be given preference for 5% of each institution's entire intake capacity, above and beyond the initial number of seats. Through REAP 2023, sons and daughters of Jammu and Kashmir's displaced people will be able to apply to a variety of engineering institutes. To prove they are the son or daughter of a Jammu and Kashmir displaced person, the candidate must present a certificate from any appropriate body.
