TISSNET 2022 Registrations starts from December 17, 2021. Candidates can register on the official website by filling the application form and paying the Application Fees of INR 1000+Bank Charges for each subject.   • TISSNET 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on February 26, 2022 from 2 pm to 3:40 pm. Check TISSNET 2022 Exam Dates

What is TISSNET? TISSNET exam is a gateway to more than 55 courses offered by the NAAC Grade A university. TISSNET is conducted online for 100 minutes in which 100 questions must be answered.The entire exam process consists of two Stages – Stage I  and Stage II. Stage I would require the candidate to undertake TISSNET, and TISSMAT/TISSPAT exam. TISSNET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

TISSNET Eligibilty

In order to fulfil eligibility for TISSNET 2022, a candidate needs to fulfil the below mentioned criteria:

  • All candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree course with at least 50% marks of 3 to 4 years duration from a university recognized by the government.
  • All candidates must be authorized citizens of India and at least 21 years before the exam. There is no upper age limit.
  • All candidates must have education of 10+2+3/4. Candidates who have studied more than undergraduate degree are also eligible for application.
  • All candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree on or before June 11, 2022.
  • Students appearing for their final exam in undergraduate degree can also appear for TISSNET, provided that they can fulfil the criteria within a limited time period.

TISSNET Registerations 2022

  • TISSNET Registration 2022 started from December 17, 2021, candidates can register till February 7, 2022 

  • Candidates can choose to register for a maximum of 3 TISS courses, by paying a registration fee of INR 1000 + Bank Charges per subject.

    TISSNET Exam Pattern

    TISSNET exam is conducted in online mode through computers in various test centres. Check Detailed TISSNET Exam Pattern.

    • Medium of the exam: The exam will be conducted in English language only.
    • Number of questions: There will be 100 questions in the exam.
    • Type of questions: The questions will be objective in nature. You will have to choose the correct option from Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
    • Duration of TISSNET exam: Students will be given 1 hour and 40 minutes to solve the question paper.

  1. Proficiency in English or Verbal Ability: This section carries questions on comprehension and verbal ability (VA). These are certain areas you should focus on: fill in the blanks with the correct word, antonyms, synonyms, homophones, pick the odd word out, sentence correction, idioms, analogies and acronyms. In case of reading comprehension (RC), you must know the purpose of the passage, assumption and supporting statements, learn how to draw inference and conclusion. You should learn to identify the author’s point of view, determine the strength or weakness of arguments and identify flaws or discrepancies in logic.
  2. General Knowledge/ General Awareness or Social Sensitivity: This section carries questions on current affairs, history, meanings of terms, recent social issues, social activities and movements.   3. Mathematics and Logical Reasoning: This section has questions on core Mathematics, Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning. We will provide you with the details of the topics you should cover for each subsection.
  • Mathematics: Brush up on your basic concepts of algebra, profit and loss, percentage, ratio and proportion, HCF and LCM, average, square root, time and distance, BODMAS, mixtures and allegations as well as basic geometry.
  • Data Interpretation (DI): Learn to interpret bar graphs, pie charts, case lets, line graphs, tables, double pie charts and multiple graphs. You must have knowledge of data comparison as well.
  • Logical Reasoning: Here you will be expected to solve questions on number series, alphabet series, logical connectivity, Venn diagrams, puzzles, cubes and statement conclusion. You are expected to have an eye for detail when solving questions from this section. Assumptions, arguments and family trees will also be questioned on.

  1. Ace your time management and accuracy: With the exam being 40 minutes long, there isn't much time for thinking. TISSNET Exam Day Do’s & Don'ts

  • Do bring your admit card to the exam centre without fail. Candidates who forget to bring their hall ticket will not be allowed to appear for the exam. It is advisable to put the admit card and other required documents in your bag or file the day before exam.
  • Do carry at least 2 photo id cards to the exam hall. Some acceptable photo id documents include Aadhaar Card or Voter ID or Passport, Driving Licence, or your College/University ID.
  • Do not be late to the test centre: Be well rested the night before the exam and be reach the exam location early. If possible, visit the location prior to the exam day to avoid confusion on Feb 20.
  • Do maintain COVID 19 safety guidelines – All exams conducted now follow a few measurements keeping the safety of students and invigilators in mind. Wear a mask without fail, carry a small sanitiser and maintain distance from fellow candidates.
  • Do not carry prohibited items: Books, cellphones or any electronic gadgets, Bluetooth devices or calculators are not allowed in the exam centre. Candidates carrying any of these items may not be allowed to sit for the test.
  • Do not panic: Do not stress out unnecessarily as it will only affect your exam. Your level of preparation will reflect poorly even if you are well prepared but stressed out. Be confidant and hope for the best.
  • Do not try to attempt all questions: Not only is this impossible but not advisable. Just because there is no negative marking, some students might try to attempt questions which they are not familiar with. This will hamper your solving ability for known questions.

Keep These In Mind While Attempting Tissnet

  • TISSNET Exam will not have negative marking. So you can attempt questions by mere guesswork.
  • There is no fixed sectional time limit. So you have to maintain a certain time limit to give adequate time to all sections.
  • The exam will be conducted from 2 to 3:40 pm for an hour and 40 minutes.
  • Candidates can choose any section as per their convenience as there is no order which must be followed to choose a section.
  • You can review a question later and change it in case you are not satisfied with the answer.
  • The right side of the screen displays the status of a question; Not Attempted, Saved and Submitted, Attempted or Saved but Not Submitted.
  • Every answer you have attempted will be auto saved after the exam duration is over.

TISSNET GK Analysis: The GK section, as expected was the hardest of 3. Topics included awards, books, historical events, authors, politics, and environment. Out of 40 questions, an attempt of 25 – 30 with at least 27 accurate answers should suffice. Most questions ame from static GK while the rest were from.

TISSNET English Proficiency Analysis: This year, 10 questions came from Arithmetic and 20 from Quant. Logical Reasoning questions were quite easy. Around 25 to 26 marks according to experts is an ideal attempt.

TISSNET Mathematics and Logical Reasoning Analysis: 30 questions came from this section which mostly consisted of fill in the blanks. Idioms, one word substitution, and analogy were missing this year. Spotting the error was tricky A score of 23 to 24 should suffice in this section.

Please remember to note down your registration details at the time of filling up the application form. You will need to use your login details to find out your results. The minimum cut off mark for the unreserved categories is usually 45% and those from the reserved categories can expect a cut off of 35%.

TISSNET Cutoffs for MA (HRM) and MA (ODCL) is expected to stay in the 69-72 range marks. Though TISS does not have sectional cut off in any section except GK, where at least 35% (14 marks out of 40 marks) is required.

  • English Proficiency: 27-28
  • Maths and Logical Reasoning: 23-25
  • Total: 70-75

The cut-off score varies from subject to subject. It also depends on the number of seats available in each course in each campus. TISSPAT Exam: What You Need To Know

TISSPAT Exam

Candidates who qualify for TISSNET must appear for TISSPAT before a personal interview which will be conducted online for MA (HRM) and M.A. (ODCL) programmes. The duration of TISSPAT is 45 minutes. Negative marking of 0.25 marks/incorrect answer is applicable.

TISSNET Counselling

TISSNET 2022 Counselling Process

The national written entrance exam is just the first round for selection in TISS. You also need to appear for Pre Interview Test (TISSMAT/TISSPAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to get finally qualified. These admission rounds of TISSNET will be held separately for each campus of TISS. It is only after all these rounds are completed that the TISS authorities will come up with the final selection list. Your final score will be based on your performance in all the rounds.

Applicants will also need to produce all required documents at the time of admission. You need to carry both your original documents as well as attested copies of the same. After your documents are verified, the TISS authorities will require you to clear a medical check-up before you are allowed admission.
