  • Study and review fundamental ideas and formulae, such as significant ratios for converting percentages, quadratic equations, cubes and cube roots, squares & square roots, rules for dividing fractions, the remainder theorem, permutations and combinations, and probability.
  • To maintain consistency and increase recall power, make it a routine to practice at least 20 questions each day.
  • Use online study resources like Unacademy, T.I.M.E, BYJUs, Career Launcher, and IMS Learning to acquire quick tips and formulae, study consistently, and get answers to your questions.
  • For XAT preparation, pick any reputable book by NK Sinha, Arun Sharma, or RS Aggarwal on quant and DI. Concentrate on your areas of weakness and daily practice questions on these.
  • Practice with full-length XAT mock examinations and sample papers in addition to sectional tests.
  • Solve at least two to three DI sets from various data sets each week to prepare for the XAT, such as pie charts, line graphs, bar graphs, tabular data, and case lets. Understanding the crucial ratio-percentage conversions is crucial for overcoming the issue of time management when answering DI questions.

XAT Verbal and Logical Ability Preparation

The Verbal & Logical Ability section of the XAT 2024 test will have 26 MCQs, including around 4 RC passages, 2-3 comprehension questions based on poems, 2-3 para jumbles, 4-5 questions requiring critical thought, and several grammar and vocabulary problems. • To get the most practice with different kinds of questions, complete every one of the sample papers and online quizzes as you can.

XAT Decision Making (DM) Preparation

The XAT DM segment does not have a specific study guide or strategy. To prepare for the XAT Decision-Making part, applicants must bear in mind the following advice for XAT:

  • Solving XAT's previous year question papers is the most effective strategy to be ready for this segment. In order to determine the best strategy for correctly answering such questions, it is crucial to analyze both your responses and the proper response.
  • According to a review of papers from past years, more than 50% of the questions dealt with corporate decision-making, with the remaining questions focusing on ethical concerns. Therefore, it is crucial to complete the previous year's exams in order to gain a sense of what to expect in the XAT 2024.
  • Avoid letting your prejudice influence your decisions since you must select the best choice from the available alternatives.
  • Consider the ethics of the circumstances at hand before selecting a passive course of action while responding to inquiries about ethical quandaries.

XAT GK Preparation

Part 2 of the XAT exam consists of 25 questions on general knowledge and current events that are static. The most crucial considerations for XAT 2024 preparation are listed below for your reference.

Ques. When will XLRI publish the official XAT 2024 test notification?

In the first week of August 2023, XLRI will publish the official announcement for XAT 2024. XATonline.in is the official website for the 2024 exam. According to the most recent announcement, the XAT 2024 exam will be held on January 7, 2024.

Ques. Is the XAT exam harder than the CAT?

Yes, XAT is more difficult than CAT. Students and experts agree that the DI, XAT Quant, and Verbal Ability sections' problems are tougher than those on the CAT. The two components of the XAT—GK and Decision Making—that are not covered by the CAT curriculum contribute to the test's complexity.

Ques. How many applicants take the XAT exam annually?
