The name Bimal Chandra College of Law honours the late Bimal Chandra Sinha, the founder. The college is accredited by the Indian Bar Council and associated with Kalyani University. It was running at Raja Birendra Chandra College at first, but in 2006 it was moved to its present location. Admission to Bimal Chandra College of Law
- The timely collection and submission of an admission form that has been properly filled out is required.
- Direct admission is available to all students in the general category who get 45% overall in their Higher Secondary or equivalent test, as well as to students from the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe categories who achieve 40% overall.
- Admission begins following the West Bengal Board of Higher Secondary Education or Equivalent Examination's result announcement, which typically occurs in June. Admission forms, the college's prospectus, and the fees book are available from the office of the college in exchange for a cash payment of only Rs. 300.
- The final date for issuing and submitting admission forms will be separately announced on the college notice board.
- Once being paid in full by the students, the fees and dues are not refundable under any situation.
