Sagar Dutta Medical College, commonly known as the College of Medicine & Sagore Dutta Hospital, is a tertiary referral government hospital, medical school, and research centre in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in the Kolkata suburb of Kamarhati. To address the state's physician shortage, the West Bengal government established it in 2010 and began offering M.B.B.S. programmes in 2011. It is accredited by the Medical Council of India and connected with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (M.C.I.). Shri.Madan Mitra served as the college's first Rogi Kalyan Samiti Chairman (Ex minister of sports,transport & Fisheries). Additionally, this medical college—which is slated to become the largest state-run medical college in West Bengal—will eventually serve as the primary referral facility for North Kolkata's neighbouring regions. After the M.C.I. team's inspection in 2011, the Authority of the College of Medicine & Sagore Dutta Hospital received a letter of permission on June 30, 2011. The first day of classes for the first year of the M.B.B.S. programme was August 1, 2011. All M.B.B.S. degrees awarded after February 2016 have been recognised by the college. The academic year 2014–2015 marked the beginning of the DMLT and DRD courses. In 2015, the DPT, DOPT, DOTT, and ECG courses began. Beginning in 2016, the DCCT course was offered. Admission For UG Course 

Sagar Dutta Medical College Selection Requirements: 

  • NEET UG cut-off for CMSDH based on AIQ rank has been used to determine admission to MBBS. Candidates who have met the CMSDH cut-off can submit an application for admission on the MCC or WBMCC websites. 
  • CMSDH has 125 MBBS seats available, with 50% of new admissions coming from MCC and 50% from WBMCC. Both the MCC and WBMCC websites have information about counselling schedules, seat matrices, and procedures.

Steps to be followed: 

  • visit the MCC or WBMCC websites. 
  • If you haven't registered previously, choose New registration Candidate Login if Already Registered 
  • Use the same email address and phone number you used to register for NTA NEET to log in.
