The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, has given the Institute its approval. The institute offers diploma and bachelor's degree courses in pharmacy, including B.Pharm and D.Pharm. The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) and the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), both in Kolkata, are affiliated with the B. Pharm training course, while the D.Pharm programme is affiliated with the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB) and the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), also in Kolkata. B. PHARM

  • The candidates must pass the West Bengal Joint Entrance (WBJEE). (https://www.wbjeeb.in/)

  • The candidate must be an Indian national who has successfully completed the H.S. (10+2) or an equivalent test from a recognised Council or Board in the regular class style.

  • The applicant must be at least 17 years old on December 31 of the admissions year. There is no maximum age.

  • Physics and Chemistry are required disciplines, along with Mathematics, Biotechnology, and Biology. Individual pass marks (theoretical and practical independently) are required. Pass the specified qualifying examination of the Upper Secondary (10+2) with a minimum of 40% marks (for all categories of candidates) in English and with a minimum of 45% marks in the aforementioned subjects combined (40% for SC/ST/PWD/OBC).

  • The WBJEE must be passed in the admission year in order for a candidate to be admitted to a B. Pharm. college.

  • If a candidate passes the relevant exams from a board other than the WBCHSE or a university other than the WBUHS, they will need to present a migration certificate. The candidate's provisional admission will be automatically revoked if the certificate is not provided by the deadline set by the university.

  • Candidates from the Reserved Categories (SC/ ST/ PWD/ OBC) must have a residential or domicile certificate in order to enrol in a pharmacy programme. For further information, visit the WBJEE website at www.wbjeeb.nic.in (Information Brochure WBJEEM subsection 9.3).

B. PHARM Lateral Entry

  • Candidates who have either completed a pharmacy diploma course from any polytechnic or institute with a minimum overall grade point average of 50% (45% for reserved category) are eligible for admission through lateral entry to the second year (3rd semester level) of the undergrad degree offered by Haldia Institute of Pharmacy. The applicant must have a current JELET rank in the admissions year.

D.PHARM

Laboratories - The 14 laboratories and equipment of the Haldia Institute of Pharmacy are well-equipped to give students practical training in the pharmaceutical industry. In order to provide undergraduate training in all the important fields of pharmacy, the college has an adequate number of labs. The labs are nicely equipped and created to give students lots of workspace. All safety precautions have been taken to help in an emergency. The lab space meets with PCI requirements, and PCI maintenance standards are followed for the equipment. The lab assistants audit the compounds once every six months.

Auditorium - A 1000 square foot, completely air-conditioned S.N. Bose Auditorium with 500 seats is perfect for conferences, seminars, and video conferences.

Sports - As an extracurricular activity, sports and cultural activities are an essential aspect of the overall educational system. Throughout their college careers, students are required to participate in a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Haldia Institute of Pharmacy held an extended sports and cultural meet each year while focusing on the idea of "SPORTS FOR ALL" during the entire session. Every year, a particular sport is held, such as the HIP Badminton Championship, HIP Cricket Championship, and HIP Soccer League. By sponsorship, the institute also helps organisations and other institutions with sports and other activities in related categories.

Hostel - Students can feel at ease and at home thanks to the academy's top-notch hostel amenities and campus infrastructure. The Haldia Institute of Pharmacy offers both male and female dorm accommodations. The two main goals of the hostel's construction are safety and comfort. The on-duty personnel does a good job of maintaining cleanliness. Every dormitory room offers a welcoming ambiance and an unpolluted environment, which supports the students' growth in mind, body, and spirit. There is enough seating in the hostels' own mess hall. The following three hostels for boys and one for girls are available to house students. The Abhinandan Boys Hostel (200 Seats), Begum Rokeya Girls Hostel (100 Seats).

Library - Institute library is fully stocked with volumes relevant to the courses provide, and give bibliographical assistance to help teachers and students learn more. Many National & International pharmaceutical journals, as well as a variety of magazines, are available in Institute library to help teachers and students share information.

Bank Facility - There is a bank with an ATM on the Haldia Institute of Pharmacy campus. There are Canara Bank and Post Offices on campus for the benefit of the students, staff, faculty, and employees of the institution.

Computer Lab - The computer lab is tastefully furnished and connected to a newly established internet facility, allowing students to expand their knowledge with up-to-date information. The lab has a high-speed internet connection. The computer facility is effectively used for a variety of dry lab exercises to investigate the pharmacy area. Throughout class, students can use the computer lab.

Medical/Hospital - Haldia Institute of Pharmacy college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
